Here's to new beginnings.

Four years ago I moved my ceramics business from my 100 sq. feet backyard studio to a 1000 sq. feet brick and mortar location with room for a showroom as well as a workspace. My hope was that Tallahassee could support my growing business as I made functional pottery that people could use in their homes while also selling the work of many other local and regional artisans. Small businesses cannot survive on hope alone.

I have learned something new every single day. I have fought through challenges and problem solved my way through things that I never expected to be problems. I have pivoted and shifted and adapted. It is now time to adapt again.

I am excited to announce that sometime soon (in 2019) I will be closing my retail operation and moving my studio home again. I will miss all of my regular customers. You have kept me going, not only financially but with your kind words and gracious support. I appreciate you more than you know. So what does this mean for you, my lovely customers?

You will be able to make appointments to shop for handmade pottery. I will always welcome you into my home studio to help you with your needs. I will be available through email or my cell number, same as always. Or if you prefer, you can shop online. I plan on beefing up my webshop to have product ready to ship out at all times. You can also find me at local fairs, markets, pop-ups, home shows and studio tours. See my website events page for information and make sure to sign up for emails to stay informed.

What does this mean for me? No more working on weekends! Flexible schedules and lunches with friends and more time spent with family. Maybe I’ll have more opportunities to design new work or even take a class!

Thanks again for all who supported me over the last four years. I’m looking forward to what the next chapter holds for me.
